Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette 1873-1954. As writer, editor, critic, first female war reporter, actress and in numerous other roles Colette redefined attitudes to loving, working and ageing. Her wit never ceasing to disarm and shock. Walter Limot (1902-1984) took this photo of Coletee in her sixty first year.
